Other Skills & Assets   Other Interests

I am a keen musician, and play jazz/blues/lounge piano and pipe organ by ear; the piano accordian; and I am experimenting with using Ableton as an instrument.
I have a good speaking voice, and have provided vocal services for BBC programmes a number of times.
I am very interested in developments in internet-based media, and am involved in a project exploring the future potential of audiobooks.
I have a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, and have produced some passable graphic design. This website was designed and assembled by myself.
I am conversant with both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS, and have considerable experience with popular office packages such as MS Office and OpenOffice.
Like many people who started out in fringe theatre, I am an experienced bartender, having worked in both cocktail bars and pubs.

I have a wide and diverse taste in music, only really disliking R&B (and there are exceptions) and anything above 135bpm. Specifically, I love: Nick Cave; Tori Amos; Classic & Progressive Rock & Pop (Genesis, The Who, Don Henley); Folk in the English tradition (Tim Van Eyken, especially); Progressive Breaks; Classical, particularly choral pieces from the Renaissance period, and Elgar, Holst, Vaughn-Williams. I listen to a lot of BBC Radio 3.
I am an avid sailor on the East Coast of England, and part-own a small classic yacht based there.

I have a wide general knowledge, and am deeply interested in history (particular 20th century), and literature (Evelyn Waugh, Jane Austen,Tolkien, William Gibson). I have also been known to dabble in writing fiction.
I've recently got into TV. I'm grudgingly impressed by The X-Factor. I enjoy House MD, Firefly, Chris Morris, Grand Designs, as well as general documentaries and humour.
